Welcome
Combeyrol is a quiet hamlet, six kilometres from Jumilhac-le-Grand in the Périgord Vert region of the northern Dordogne. The hamlet comprises a small dairy farm and a selection of beautiful French cottages nestled in the hills overlooking the Isle Valley. It sits in the Périgord Limousin Parc Naturel Régional, famous for its luscious green valleys and stunning countryside.
Our house, a 4 bedroom Maison de Maitre, sits in a quiet lane at the top of the hamlet with beautiful views over the wooded valleys. Equipped with wireless high speed broadband, it is as much a peaceful working retreat as it is a holiday home. A relaxing and welcoming place to stay, at any time of year. It provides comfortable accommodation for one large or two small families. Couples discounts are available out of season.
There are many beautiful villages nearby including St Paul La Roche (3km), Sarrazac (2km) and Jumilhac le Grand (5k) with its beautiful chateau and sunday morning farmers market in the summer months. Further afield, the area is famous for its charming market towns; Saint Yrieix la Perche (20km), with its lovely medieval centre cobbled streets and beautiful church; Thiviers (12km) with its famous Saturday morning farmers' market and Brantome (35km), a lovely town on the river Dronne known as 'The Venice of the Périgord.'
